I received a phone call from HQ I think and got a follow up email.

Question in regards to medical as I'm waiting for information technology to exist scheduled. I usually fail the Color Vision cards they seem to always use. For Border Patrol, I was given the pick to take the Farnsworth colorvision tests out of pocket (basically a more in depth color vision test) and the Dr signed off on my paperwork and i cleared Medical with BP. If I do neglect the Color Vision Cards with USSS will I be given this choice?

Anywhere from a couple of weeks to a month or 2. There'due south non really a standard time frame right now since COVID is notwithstanding screwing thinks up.

So got the call for my SUPER the Monday after my exam to come in on Tuesday, simply it was for some other land that I lived in when I initially sent my application in. Looks similar they are having to transfer my application to my local FO. Non certain when I volition hear back.

i was told the process would be faster if I was moving through the initial field office, simply since I'm not and the one shut to my residence is much larger, it'll be slower.

Without getting into too much item, is the Poly length dependent on how much stuff yous've done in the past in terms of travel, deployments, full general experiences, etc?

Yes, but it can take anywhere from 4-8 years (or possibly longer) to make it at that place. My agents said it varies depending on a lot of factors.

On the plus side, this is probably one of the few non-executive fedgov jobs where you won't take much issue affording to alive in DC.

Yes you will make plenty of Ot. Drive times unless you are single tin can be crude but most here work "off" hours to avert traffic etc. Its really not bad.

    Whats upward guys,

I've been lurking here for a few months now since initially applying for the SA position and thought I would mail service my timeline. Seems like everyone appreciates it.

    6/xiv/2020- Practical
    7/24/2020- Best qualified applicant email
    7/27/2020- Passed SAEE
    9/24/2020- SUPER Interview
    nine/29/2020- Received east-QIP invite/ uploaded eastward-QIP
    11/10/2020- Security Interview

Just waiting on them to contact me to schedule the Poly and Medical. From what i've seen here looks like the expect time from the SI to scheduling the Poly is anywhere between a week to a month. The maxim "hurry upwards and wait" defiantly applies hither.

No. Co-ordinate to the Secret Service website'south FAQs:

"Regardless of the clearance level of the applicant, the Secret Service will complete its own full background investigation prior to the engagement of all applicants."

Guys, I did my poly on Monday. Today I was asked if there have been updates in my SF86 since the security interview.

Does this mean they started my background investigation?
